Rev. Larry D.A. HerndonLarry is the son of Rev. Angela Sullivan-Herndon and Minister Garry L. Herndon, Sr. Larry is the fraternal twin of Garry, Jr. and the older brother of Faith Victoria.

Larry was a 2006 graduate of Steelton-Highspire H.S. He also attended Capital Area School of the Arts, studying music. His list of achievements include: National Honor Society, Who’s Who (2003), National Honor Roll (2002 & 2003), and National Honor Student. His extra-curricular activities include: founder of the Steelton-Highspire Gospel Choir, president of the S.OA.P. Club (student outreach & prayer club), marching band-section leader, concert band, small ensemble, jazz ensemble, student council, class historian, history & literature club, track team, yearbook committee, Business Manager of the newspaper club, prom committee, Second Mile Leadership Conference, President of the Second Mile club, National Student Leadership Conference, and Steel-High’s Honor’s Program.

Larry attends Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he is a Dean’s List student and has received numerous scholarships. He is a member of Souls A’ Fire (founded by Bishop Carrolton Pearson), Chamber Singers, Opera Theatre: Porgy & Bess, Ladies & Gentlemen of Jazz, ORU worship, and a Wing Chaplain.

Larry eulogized the “N” word in a ceremony held by the Harrisburg Chapter of the NAACP on the State Capital Steps, June 2007. He is an employee at Sears, and a former employee of Hershey Park.

Larry was saved at the age of four and called by God at the age of nine. He accepted his calling and began to seek God. In June 2006, under Bishop Ivy Hopkins, he was ordained a Reverend. Larry serves at Hope of Glory Church of the Living God, as a Youth Pastor, Assistant min. of music, trustee; where his maternal grandmother, Elder Carolyne Sullivan is the founder and pastor. Larry is a thorough teacher of the word and God uses him in prophecy and prayer. Larry has ministered throughout Pennsylvania, also, in Florida 2005 and in North Carolina 2006, at the Church of the Living God, National Youth Congress. He is a C.L.G. National Children’s Choir Director, National Youth Director, a song writer, and a National Youth Usher. Larry has the gift of helps: whatever his hands find to do, he does it in the name of the Lord.
