She attended Harrisburg Area Community College where she majored in Business and minored in Social Welfare and Psychology. She also attended University of PA and Indiana University of PA where she majored in Education and minored in Religion. Carolyne completed the Certificate program for Home-based Child Care Providers at Penn State Capital Campus and the S.T.E.P. (Systematic Training for Effective Parenting) program at Penn State and The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center-The College of Medicine. She has worked at all levels of government - Federal: Ft. Indiantown Gap and Olmstead Air Force Base; State: Department of Labor and Industry; County: District Justice and Night Court; City: Harrisburg Housing Authority, Human Relations Council Harrisburg School District; Commonwealth: The PA House of Representatives and a Daycare provider. Reared in the church, Rev. Sullivan was appointed a missionary in 1982 and was licensed in 1984. She was issued an Exhorter's Certificate in 1987.

The Lord called Rev. Sullivan to the ministry from the following scriptures:

2 Timothy 4:1-5
Luke 4:18,19
Isaiah 61:1,2

In 1988, she was issued a Local Minister's License, and in 1990 was ordained a reverend. In 1999, she became an Assistant Pastor and also received her Evangelist Credentials, and in 2001, she became the Founder and Senior Pastor of Hope of Glory Church of the Living God (the third church she founded or helped to found). She is a Secretary to the Pennsylvania State Examination and Advancement Board, and the Church of the Living God Berean School of Ministry Board" of Directors. Pastor Sullivan was ordained Elder at the PA State Assembly on June 24th 2006. She is listed Who's Who of American Women (2006-2007), Outstanding Women in the United States (2002), Outstanding Women of America (1975), and Outstanding 'Women in (Pennsylvania (1973). The Hope of Glory Church of the Living God assembled for service on the 4th Sunday, June 24, 2001, at the home of the Pastor with eight charter members.

We had two more services there and moved into the garage and were blessed with a few more members. We were there approximately a month and a half and moved to 157 N. Front Street, in Steelton; we were blessed to be there for exactly a year and picked up a member there. We celebrated our first anniversary where Elder Kelly Deeds stood in for the Late Apostle Patricia A. Jones. We certainly were Blessed by God in that service. Even Mother Frances (Totsie) Jones was able to be with us, which meant so very much to all of us. We were blessed to Baptize three of our new members at City Island in August 2002.

The first Sunday in September we relocated to Cameron & Sycamore Streets in Harrisburg where Pastor & Co-Pastor Linder opened their doors and allowed us to share with them. God really blessed us there but unfortunately the Building changed hands and we found ourselves back in the Pastor's home. But one of the most encouraging things that happened in March 2003 was our induction into PA Diocese just prior to our move. We had been praying over this for sometime and God gave Pastor Sullivan an answer. Our Pastor was installed at Grace Temple Church, 300 Pine Street, Steelton on Saturday, May 31, 2003, at 2 PM that was a great day in our church history. During our State Assembly in June 2003 our Assistant Pastor, Evangelist Angela J. (Penny) Sullivan-Herndon, was ordained as a Reverend. Her youngest son Larry was ordained Reverend in 2006.

Pastor was blessed to be appointed to help our Dean Dennison on the Credentials Committee. We've had two joiners since we've returned to Pastor's home and four to Be baptized, at State Baptism City Island in July 2003. We've fulfilled our annual engagements and were blessed with additional invitations to preach, perform wedding ceremonies, and m/c Anniversaries in some large denominational churches. We've been praying for the Lord to open those doors for us and we just feel blessed. The Lord has blessed our Music Ministry and used our Musicians and Minister of Music to help us teach choirs and participate on programs and to be looked at by recording artists.

We're blessed to have graduated four from High School and to have two full-time college students one which has excelled. Reverend Larry is a full-time student at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma majoring in Pastorial care. Also, we have Honor students in elementary, Jr. High, and High School. Our District Elder Pastor Jannie Brant preached at my home during a Sunday morning service; that was a big encouragement. Our Garry L. Herndon, Jr. was elevated to Minister of 2006 State Assembly. He is a full-time student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). He majors in Social Welfare. We visit the sick and shut-in and nursing homes, also we do clothing give-aways several times a year. We have a greeting card ministry and a food give-away.

The 1st Sunday in December 2004 with the help of our Bishop and God's precious saints, we went into a building God made known to us through a lady, former co-worker, and friend of Rev. Herndon's. God is blessing us there and sending in souls. On Friday, May 20th we had a HYPBC local worker fellowship under the leadership of our local worker Sis. Mary and were blessed to have in attendance our National President Sis. Penny. After which, we had a prayer shut-in led by our Global Evangelist Eula Davis. On Saturday October 2006 our National HYPBC President, Reverend Herndon, reinstituted a regional meeting @ Old Jeruselem CLG @ 43rd and Aspen Sts. Philadelphia,PA.

We had some miracles throughout the ministry but the restoration our Pastor's sight in her right eye really exceeded all expectations. More recently the Lord delivered Sister Selina out of the hospital on many different occassions. We are expecting even greater things than these. Pastor Sullivan is a member of the Interdenominational Ministers Conference (IMC), Executive Committee member of Greater Harrisburg NAACP, Chairperson of WIN (Women In NAACP), and received a Local President's Award at the 2007 Freedom Fund Dinner in November. Just recently, Elder Sullivan was named the 2009/2010 Cambridge Who's Who Registry Among Executive and Professional Women. We're soliciting your prayers in Jesus Name.
