The Result of a Promise!
Christ In You, The Hope of Glory (Col. 1:27)
Welcome to the Hope of Glory C.L.G. website!
Located at 1317 Derry Street in Harrisburg, PA, Hope of Glory is a life changing ministry led by our Sr. Pastor and Founder, Elder Carolyne M. Sullivan, under the Lordship of Jesus Christ our Savior. God has been establishing this local assembly since June 2001 and we hold fast to what He says in His word: "Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it..." (Psalms 127:1a).
Having been led as we believe by the Spirit of God to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, and on the profession of our faith, having been baptized into the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost: we do now in the presence of God and angels, most solemnly and faithfully enter into a covenant with one another as one body in Christ - "The House of God, which is the Church of the Living God, the Pillar and Ground of the Truth." (1 Timothy 3:15) We therefore, by the aid of the Holy Ghost, will walk together in Christian love, striving for the advancement of this Church in knowledge, holiness, and comfort. We will promote its prosperity and spirituality, sustain its worship, ordinances, disciple, doctrine; and contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of its ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and spreading of the Gospel to all nations.
We will also endeavor to maintain family and sacred devotions, religiously dedicate our children; to seek salvation of our kindred and acquaintances to walk circumspectly in the world; to be just in our dealing; faithful in our endeavors and exemplary in our deportment; to avoid all immorality, uncleaness, drunkenness, and drug abuse, lying, witchcraft and satanic worship, and to be zealous in our effort to advance the House of God, which is the Church of the Living God, the Pillar and Ground of the Truth.
We will endeavor to watch over one another in brotherly love, remember each other in prayer, and each other in sickness and distress, cultivate Christian sympathy and courtesy in speech. We will be slow to take offense, always ready for the reconciliation, always mindful of God's Holy Word, and the rules of the House of God, which is the Church of the Living God, the Pillar and Ground of the Truth. Amen.
We praise and thank the Lord Jesus for each and every visitor on this site and pray that you've been blessed through our website!
Our Beliefs

We believe that the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God, infallible and inerrant in the original writings.
We believe that there is only one Living and True God, maker of heaven and earth, and all things visible and invisible; and in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, in the beginning, and in the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Truth which proceeds from the Father and Son, and is a gift to the believer: and these three agree as one.
We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ and that He suffered, was crucified, died, and buried. The third day He rose again, He ascended unto the Father, and His return is imminent to come again to judge the quick and the dead.
We believe that Satan is the adversary of God and man.
We believe that man was created in the image of God; man sinned bringing death to all in his fall.
We believe in repentance from sin, in the atonement by substitutionary death and shed blood of Jesus Christ for the propitiation of the sins of the world.
We believe that salvation is by grace through personal faith in Jesus Christ, thereby experiencing the new birth.
We believe in baptism by immersion in water.
We believe in sanctification and in the baptism, filling and indwelling of the Holy Spirit in the believer's life, and in the operations of gifts in the church.
We believe that the Church is the body and bride of Christ, and is composed soley of born again believers.
We believe the commission of Christ is still incumbent on every believer to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
We believe in the resurrection, ascension, and imminent return of Christ for the church. We acknowledge one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and in you all. AMEN.
